From here on, except for the descendents of Mary (1782-1838),
the spelling Brameld is usual. Mary's son, Thomas, was illegitimate. His father's name is
unknown. Thomas was baptized as Brameld but both his death and Christiana's are recorded
as Bramald at St. Thomas' Church, Kilnhurst.
